ABSTRACT
With the developing information technology and research possibilities, the branches of science and information resources have been changed to a great extent. The only thing that does not change is the reliability of scientific publications. However, while technology contributes to the development of science, it also prepares the ground for unethical behavior. With the increase in the importance and amount of information and through the developing technology, the rapid and easy transmission and sharing of the information has brought along some effective problems. In addition, situations such as promoting, gaining fame, preserving fame, feeling emotions that are part of human nature, desire to publish a large number of publications, and gaining financial support by over-publishing also cause ethical problems. This research was prepared via literature review. In this context, the concept of Science Ethics, experiments questioning the power of Science, the historical development of attribution and plagiarism, attribution problems and the situations that cause this problem, attribution screening systems and finally the effect of technological developments on plagiarism detection were mentioned.

ÖZ
Gelişen bilgi teknolojisi ve araştırma olanaklarıyla bilim dalları ve bilgi kaynakları büyük ölçüde değişime uğramıştır. Değişmeyen tek şey bilimsel yayınların güvenilirliğinin sağlanmasıdır. Fakat teknoloji, bilimin gelişmesine katkı sağlarken diğer yandan etik olmayan davranışlara da zemin hazırlamaktadır. Bilginin öneminin ve miktarının artması, bunların gelişen teknoloji aracılığıyla hızlı ve kolay bir şekilde iletilmesi aynı zamanda da paylaşılması birtakım etik sorunları da beraberinde getirmiştir. Ayrıca etik sorunlara terfi, üne kavuşma, ününü koruma gibi insan doğasının bir parçası olan duygulara kapılma, fazla sayıda yayın yapma isteği ve fazla yayın yaparak maddi destek sağlamak gibi durumlar da sebep olmaktadır. Bu araştırma literatür taraması ile hazırlanmıştır. Bu kapsamda bilim etiği kavramından, bilimin iktidarını sorgulayan deneylerden, atıf ve intihalin tarihsel gelişiminden, atıf sorunlarından ve bu soruna neden olan durumlardan, atıf tarama sistemlerinden ve son olarak teknolojik gelişmelerin intihal tespitine etkisinden bahsedilmiştir.
